The Queen Of Nothing

 
I'm the Queen of nothing
 
in my kingdom dethroned
I never sought this place of honor
still, I was crowned
 
with commoner emotions
I provoked feeling from my brothers
poets of renown
I was amazed
at the power, a simple word could wield
 
my moods are wild
they cause me pain
so I wrote about it
 
trapped my thoughts in a maze
with so many dead endings
and walkways all leading away from me
 
until one day I found they doubled back  
and slapped me in the face
 
reclaiming me, the Queen of nothing
