SACRED UNSEEN LOST (5-23-03, salt marsh road, far East end of Galveston Island, Texas)
setting amber sun
slowly sinks
over salt marsh
landscapes horizon
illumining all
with golden light
each bladed grass
every fine fibered
radiant plants
filigreed wonder
of nature
lit up with life
in delicate auras
silent dance
of angelic filaments
soft halos aglow
i pause
to stop
my bike
to look to feel
to sense
to listen closely
as creation
intricately sings
so sublimely
everywhere
all around me
and everywhere
beyond
its high frequency
vibrational
divine crystalline
ever unfolding
eternally flowing
song
of sacred constancy
through ever evolving
ever changing
manifesting
myriad forms
from the infinitey
expanding
multiverse of all
down to
and beyond
even the smallest
of visibly detectable
things here
until suddenly
im snatched away
from the rich
inner depths
of my mystically
entranced
elemental fusions
intimately
connected
consciously awakened
sweet
visionary spell
when sudenly
a massive helicopter
appears
as if
seemingly from
out of
nowhere
flying by low
obscenely loud
not far overhead
violently chopping
the sky
and airs
previously peaceful
quietude
and increasingly rare
near pristine
natural harmony
into so many
grotesquely butchered
pieces
of unconscionably
broken
soulessly slaughtered
serenity
which only moments
before
had so effortlessly
so naturally
prevailed
and held
the timeless
spirit of place here
over these usually
more tranquil
broad open miles
of remote coastal
salt water
marshlands
which skirt
their silent grace
all along
this great
vast
living gulfs
tightly hugged
epic lengths
of wave and weather
sculpted beaches
whose previously
inviolate
intrinsically reflective
restorative
healing environment
of calm
zen like peace
now so grossly
defiled
its magical essence
so blatantly
spoiled
by that which i
so deeply despise
enough
too much
to bear
in heart sickening
contrast to
that which i
came here for
and needed most
today
so abruptly
destructively
taken away
by such a darkly
offensive
invasively intrusive
violation
against natures
increasingly endangered
teetering
delicate balance
of natural beauty
interconnected
harmony
within the sacred
oneness
of all that is
which presently seems
so truly
and tragically
to be
now more
than ever
at least
in the mostly
disconnected
overwhelmingly
seperated
lower consciousness
historical minds
and self destructive
free will
hands
of man
to be so
very near now
here at this
fully
unravelling
threadbare
frayed edge
this potential
final end
of it
of us all
of everything
else
as well
so hopelessly
heartlessly
forgotten
so irretrievably
soullessly
lost
