the stars cried
the sun fell fell to the Earth
the ocean swallowed it; a bitter pill
skies darkened with the absence of light
the apocalyptic doom was upon us
night riders took to the streets
rapers of humanity
they were in their element
looters of truth
they stole all wisdom
leaving the peoples blind
while they heralded in the age of ignorance
Lucifer appeared in his full glory
stars cried knowing their time was up
one by one they blink out
the prophecy had been fulfilled
no longer needed to light the way
they die as demons plucked them from the skies
adorning themselves with the light bearers souls
in a show of victory
Nostradamus vision of the future realized
children clung to their mothers for comfort
the heavens looked for a hero
there was none
hell vomit its reprobates
the eyes in the sky cry glittery mascara
for a veil rent
they saw it coming and had done nothing
too busy watching the show to do anything
the Earth lament
for her forlorn children
they'd been given their eviction papers
with no where to go
they said their prayers
preparing to give up the ghost
the devil cackled
and put on a magic show
completely bedazzled
they followed him to their deaths

so much Christian iconography here...important to remember that Christianity was invented in the 4th century by the megalomaniacal serial killing Roman emperor Constantine in collusion with the bureaucratic and intolerant wing of early Christianity as essentially a totalitarian political movement....all its gods and devils created to serve this end...the Sun cannot be swallowed by the ocean since the Earth is smaller than even a tiny sunspot on the surface of the Sun...this work is a superb portrayal of the complete idiocy of this belief system...

this is a poem of symbology not to be taken literally it is simply to provoke feeling and thought as well as discussion which you have so thoughtfully provided... I write as i'm inspired even when I feel it's kooky :)

Thought and soul provoking, Crim. I particularly like the reference to Nostradamus. He has always fascinated me. But this is filled with details that get my mind operating. Excellent job!

Dearest Crim, I would like to praise this very metaphoric poem, because very in tune with the ancient apocalyptic vision, which, no matter what you believe in, is very strong and sends a clear message of devastation. I truly appreciate your vision, very detailed and very close to the book of the Apocalypse and the prophecy of the rise of the beast. This book goes back to around the middle and the end of the first century A. D., so much earlier than Costantine and Milan edict. Christians receive this name during the first apostolic ministry, which historically proven, was set right after the death of Christ till the death of the youngest of the apostles, John, in Patmos, probably around the year one hundred. You here have done an excellent work of trying to show us the painful vision of a broken humanity, which is led astray by it heartlessness, giving demons the power to lead it astray, towards its death. I can only say that your cry is the cry of those who feel that man, if he doesn't open his/her heart to love, will be doomed by its own doing. And cannot but agree with you. Very well done my dearest. Keep shouting to man (the real demon) that only love can set us free. Hugs and much love to you, sweet soul. Thank you for your huge heart and for sharing your visions with us. J.

You are truly gifted because you give your heart to the word. And humbly you submit to it's teaching, granting us the gift to look beyond this pitiful world of hate and pain. Hugs my sweet angel. J

The earth will be consumed by the sun in around 4 or 5 billion years time. Though all
trace of life will be extinguished long before that. So your poem could be taken literally.
Excellent read Crim. I've read Nostradamus, in fact, I was flicking through his work
the other day at a bookstore.
