The Feelings of Desire, Part One: Mental
The first time she really ever felt this way,
She wanted to talk to him about his day.
To have conversations, both mundane, and deep.
Talking into the wee hours, until they began to fall asleep.
Sitting and talking,
Walking and chatting,
Joking and laughing,
Thoughts, theories, and Ideas, both long thought, and spur of the moment,
The entire range of emotions, from happy, to an emotional torrent.
From smiles to tears,
She wanted to listen, and comfort his fears.
To hear his intelligent mind,
His thoughts that ranged from smart, to kind.
On many subjects, from horror and crime to charity and community, from science and medicine, to art and religion.
To hear on every subject, his position.
And share her thoughts on subjects,
To learn, and teach, with no disrespects.
To go on many journeys,
Many places, such as museums, galleries, concerts, theaters, and bowling alleys.
In a love, so tender, and pure,
And so full of splendour.
She wanted to talk to him about his day.
