You have to take a moment
To understand the overlying issues
That are pushed upon us
Forcing us physically lower
From a mental come up
Sums up the daily struggles
That oppress us
The life of routines that depress us
Prisioned by the masses
Who happen to look just like us
And then they try to sell us a dream
That the life they allow us to have
Is so precious
But who is really to blame for the set backs
Fighting so hard for society’s fame
Thinking that you’re so different
But your desire to be accepted
Makes you the same
Prolific in thoughts
But deficient in time
How does such a “woke” generation
Manage to remain so blind
