Apathy

 

Pinch the flesh
Between your thick fingers
Pull it hard
Away from my body
And bite down
As hard as you can
Harder as to tear it away
Shake your head
Like a ravenous beast
Let your teeth cut in
Tear the flesh
Again and again
Let the blood spew
Drench the floor and
Ignore the wails
Of this sleeping form
I must awaken
