I was sitting here
in my fat chair...
wondering...
What is it about cats...
... and paper?
They sit on it... sleep on it...
s-t-r-e-t-c-h on it...eat on it...
It speaks to the power of the
written word... as Puss is drawn...
to absorb...
...the latent energy...
that flows from the tip of my pen...

Very good poem . I guess the writer has an obsession with the paper and the pen lol i like your reference to cats on paper when in fact the writer and the pen is near the paper

and they hoard all that power
until they explode in feline hissy-fits and
fling themselves into mad races about the house
as though all the demons of hell were close behind...
No wonder the little dears sleep so much... ely
