my immortal
I look to you like a lost love does
gazing at the stars
I pluck one from the universe
being named for us
the story of our coming together
is told in the cosmos
I crush the star
and shoot it into my veins
I start to trip
visions of you and I
in a faraway place
you're here to bring me home safely
I've been going wild, a little too native
you're my commander
I listen to you in my soul's heart
as you quietly sing the song of our peoples
great warriors of old
a fierce society with strict rules
but they are needed
here my tyranny has gone unchecked
I've been using my magic
to alter the course of history
you've come to keep a close eye on me
we are beings from a far off galaxy
light years away
I miss home
you make me want to return
but I will face punishment there
for crimes against humanity
to this, I answer our people hungered for war
I gave them what they asked for
over the centuries
I wonder has the council gone soft?
the court is in session
it's being held where I sit
I'm pardoned and told to return safely
I look to the stars
and wonder how long until my mission is finished
when will I return to the blue
and see your face again
my immortal love
