Blame Your Idols

Woe to us that slumber

A ballad of suns and tongues
Nothing said of what slips through the cracks
Truth illuminated with such vigor
That we didn't even notice when it wasn't with us

Crushed under the weight of its absence

But alas, a collapse is now evident
Oh, the fractures we exalted, awful horrors, new elements
Golden explosions in long halls with no out
Proudly stirring the pot while the Earth sprouts young mountains

You may call me a heretic
But I doubt your debtors have enough to pay for this
This isn't about judgment
It's just cause and effect, you invested in detriment
And there's no wall tall enough to block the fallout
It's inevitable and what comes from the sky isn't necessarily heavensent
You can quit now, be done with the sickness,
Kick those bad habits while we're only waist deep in quicksand
We get it!
This is the end
And all those open arms
Get the short end of the stick

I hope you had the time of your life
I know it didn't take long to waste it

Here's what you've ALL been waiting for
I'm pleased to present the ever so popular apocalypse

Woe to us "awake"

I hope you had a good one
I hope you found your enemy

Sleep now in the hollow,
Awkward silence of all your answers
And when The Void calls your name, your eyes will roll for days
Lost, looking for language in the infinite darkness

Silver tongues hark a throat full of mercury
