Locust Logic (Absolute Zero & Heat Death Are Not What They Seem)
Our monuments are no longer solid
Have we lost all lore?
If no one knows where they're going
We'll never gather, we'll swarm
This could be tragic, I imagine
Like either nine of swords
Eyes blind to all that isn't light
Desperately looking to be warm
From far off it seems different
Nothing lost and nothing gained
But in the face of what some have boldly labeled change
We can't see the future past it everything looks like yesterday
A safe place for all our baby teeth and our demons
Now we all run from our freedom...
Have we lost all lore?
If no one knows where they're going
We'll never gather, we'll swarm

The dei, the place, it is not far away
Maiden, salvation, breaking chains
Making us innocent, in our sin, again, in a sense
Evening, land blends into sky
Night falls and we find ourselves
Blind but not lightless
Son, RISE!
You do not know what I say, just obey
You are deaf, not dead
O' betrayer of decay and flesh
Under a mock-up of Apocalypse
Throngs, lost flocks, walk on
Yeah, they'd kneel but they're simply not feeling it
Numb! Bursting!
Son of a Nimrod
Built the wrong...

I'm all out of sweet sorrow
Bereft, you better believe it
Part of me knows the truth
But the rest of me don't need it
One of these days we'll lose
The lines that fit between us
Collapse as fractals do
Into It-Self, forever, seamless
Lest we find the light that don't shine,
A black hole full of foundry furnaces
As disenchanted as yesterday's confetti
The magic is all gone and lost is any room left to fall
So burn up
If our rock bottom isn't all that was promised
Wait for waters to rise
Oceans trump...
Bereft, you better believe it

"Quit" Used To Mean "Set Free"
I resign myself to life
Beyond fear and trembling
Holding on to nothing
Somehow summoning Love
Freedom is knowing that you only get one choice
We go nowhere because Truth is too hard to find
It has to come to you
Imagine that the paths of the stars aren't an accident
That they live too
And they choose to follow the only Truth they know
Imagine angels, the agents of change, all halos
With no choice available
Yet they vibrate ever so much higher than we do
Imagine that.
Freewill being the thing...
Beyond fear and trembling

Harder Than I Think (How To Make A Home (Born Into Abyss))
The persistence of consciousness is
The bane of all my days
Even after the advent of sleep
I'm exacerbated
The light of the first one shines through all our eyes
But if we look backwards the force feedback will still time
Da Vinci reinvents the 21st century
Foxes are hauling off your sick, by the carpetbag
So young wolves will grow hungrier
Run! FASTER!!
But don't you break
Serve yourself upwards
On a silver plate
Heavens below won't know who to thank
Fall harder
Smoke rises
Nothing...

Anonymity (The Kick That Never Came)
The road to Hell is paved with the bones of daydreamers
They sing about a better way
Facedown in a lake of fire
Tongues shoving through every dull tooth toward gravedirt
... ... ...
Desperate for a taste they can savor,
But won't search further than the earth
I would sooner turn over every loose leaf in Dante's diary
Before lamenting the damned who penned their own eulogies with white-gloved hands
So it must be one long run in front of me
My Mecca, my messiah, my true home's in a black hole
Well, who's gonna dance ...

The city in my eyes
Isn't a home to my heart
But at least there's no strangers in this place
That's a start
I've always wondered if the skyline is keeping me blind
What can't I see through the acres of highrises in front of me
The only truth I know is where I'm going
But my stars are lost in darkness
So the next steps I take might be into the abyss
And if I fall in love again, how will I rise above this
How many more have gone before me on the wings of hope
Their good intentions shed, virgin feet never meeting the road
