Milk & Water [A Toast] + A Dalliance before Dawn (Co-written with SeaEntity1)

Part 1: Milk & Water

This powerful force that binds us together
Has existed since the beginning, and shall continue on forever
384,400km separate the two of us
Yet your ocean kingdoms most always adjust…

To my dominant force of gravity
Wanting to lift your waves up into infinity
Yet despite those majestic waves hoping to reach the sky
They are destined to fall; not meant to fly.

High above I shine my light
And with a cry, the seagull takes off in flight
I hold influence over you, even more so than the sun!
For thousands of years, Earth’s children have thought that it was the only one…

With such power and majesty high up in the sky
Yet I am the one that brings light to the darkest of nights
I also cast the world in darkness, creating an omen of doom
My motives are as mysterious as Earth’s children fear “the dark side of the moon.”

Yet destruction is not what I search for
I often self-sacrificed my being to allow Earth to release her spores
Whatever interpretations are made of me, my powers are always in motion
As thousands of kilometers away, I delicately play around with Earth’s oceans.

Part 2: A Dalliance before Dawn

A melancholy symphony
Twin bridges of wanting
Of depth and gravity
Aquamarine.Peridot.Azul
Swarthed in Onyx ink
To cast mystery onto the wet dunes
That croon to a bloated moon...
Friendly jealousy
Belied in mirrored vanity
Yet allied in fantasy's hour
Snickering in atonement
Of their lethal beauty
Pearline round of silent sound
A innocent pendant
Of death and desire,profound
Where chameleon hues of
Rich drunken,broken bowels
Lures the bellies of greed of Men
& retribution ensues
Pale Rapunzel partakes the fire
Flambeing her into a vampirish sleep
While Poseidon is shackled
In an insomniac reap.

Author's Note
A dialogue between 2 powerful forces: the ocean and the moon, whom have a deep connection with each other. My part is in italic font, whereas the talented ocean child wrote part 2. Enjoy!
