ghost
There's a Ghost down the hall, another twisted shadow dancing across the floor
He calls to me at night, his bellows and weeps echo through the walls
He whispers your name taunting me till daylight
I've begged him to leave and stop giving me a fright
but tonight he slips through the locked door and slithers under my sheets
I can't tell if he's a real creature of night or just a trick of light, a phantom left lurking to fill the void you left behind gnawing and aching inside my chest
he comes to rest on your side of the mattress making it his Egyptian cotton grave
I bite down my lip to keep from whimpering your name
I twist away as his mangled finger tip rasps up my spine
I feel his breath on my neck and it prickles my crawling flesh
His voice is like yours though groggy and weak
He mutters the word you wouldn't dare to speak
a fly pass through a gaping hole torn through his neck as "I love you" floats through his crumbled lips
I squeeze my eyes shut and count to ten,I pray to longer see the dead
