her name was patience
I want to return to the sun
as pure energy
swirling, pulsing light
nameless and faceless
as I was before
my immortal glory
an echo I hear on occasion
I no longer recognize this incarnation's voice
as being my own
I was a tyrant given to fits of passion
a destroyer of all things great and small
within this body I've learned humility
I see that given time things come full circle
flourishing in truth
and diminishing myths
with their real nature
I know I will never again shine so fiercely
but it's my hope my beauty is deepening
within an understanding
blooming vibrant with color
a beauty so bright it can't be created
with an utterance or idea
it must evolve within love and patience
to be gathered only when fully ripened
a mature love of the cosmos

Better patience than ferocity, seems to me. Patience has a cool, soothing hand. Ferocity might be impressive, might convey passions, but there's the burn out factor. Seems to me you're one poet who can have it both ways: sometimes fierce, sometimes tender. You captivate me both ways.

this is beautiful
speaks of the wizened woman
whose words the young girls of today
really need to listen to
Time [experience] is after all the best teacher

The beauty of this poem, for be is in the revelation of the being in all its true beauty and how much pain, truly present, in the desire to break free to return to being true essence. You amaze me every time.

My love you shine magnificently with this ink - to ever think you won’t shine as brightly as “before” while viewing it as a negative makes me shake my head - no no no - each day we are here, we shine BRIGHTER than the day before....always remember that my love - the light you shine upon me and my world will never dim as long as you’re there in it...
I love you passionately

thank you my love it's is my ferocity that I think may shine less brightly so that other aspects of who I am can evolve.. I love that you see me this way..
