Taurus everyday
I lost my way when you came
Realizing I never knew I was lost
Not knowing where to go
Before I met you.
You were the bull
And I was the china store.
The plates never knew what hit them
And in a flash
They all fell like comets at night.
I would argue with you.
You were a cat.
You would never stay
But you always came home.
And we would read Rupi Kaur:
You would read a verse, and I would
Intelligibly say her name at the end.
And at the end of the day
When you go - and you have to go -
I would wait for you to come back
Wishing you would never,
Wishing you would always ,
Wishing the day could always begin.
Realizing I never knew I was lost
Not knowing where to go
Before I met you.
You were the bull
And I was the china store.
The plates never knew what hit them
And in a flash
They all fell like comets at night.
I would argue with you.
You were a cat.
You would never stay
But you always came home.
And we would read Rupi Kaur:
You would read a verse, and I would
Intelligibly say her name at the end.
And at the end of the day
When you go - and you have to go -
I would wait for you to come back
Wishing you would never,
Wishing you would always ,
Wishing the day could always begin.
