Dear Ladies
Dear Ladies,
Stop allowing men to lead us towards a future while abandoning us in our presence. Don’t lose your senses while waiting for a man to come to his own. Until a man can look beyond the surface of a woman, he will never know the difference between love and lust, pretty and beautiful, God’s word vs. his own. We must heal ourselves before trying to heal someone else. Yeah it’s bittersweet, but ask him “Why couldn’t you be the man I need”? Wait for his response & then tell yourself “Maybe he wasn’t meant for me”. He’ll understand after you settle down that no scale can measure a woman’s worth because that was his choice not to see. It’s true when they say “Those who love the hardest take the longest to rise”. No, you aren’t a toy, you are a valuable prize, so don’t allow no man to hold you who isn’t strong enough to carry you down the aisle.

There is a lot of self respect in your writing. I see and hear many stories about abusive relationships and the suffering experienced by those involved. I know of it too, since when I was younger, I had to learn about self respect and healthy boundries. As they say: "It takes two to tango."
We don't need feminism to figure that one out, besides that women too can be abusers.
It all starts with that self respect and how we treat each other as human beings goes from there.

I totally agree! It’s so common as a young adult to see women using their mind and body for free. Self respect is a process, men don’t have any either, it hurts my heart. Recognizing a lot more broken individuals that need healing.
