It’s Raining but Growing Pains
As I lay here in the dark in my queen sized bed
Here alone on another Saturday night thinking how
I wish i could go back to a time when only butterflies were on my mind and “I wonder if Bobby likes me, I really think Bobby does...
Now what stays on my mind is growing pains to sort out and bills to be paid
“Cable bill due Monday,
Gotta pay the lights another 45$ to come up with oh and don’t forget school”
This definitely ain’t the life I dreamed of when I was 15, living in Hazel Green Alabama.
“Not the lawyer I wanted to be, far from that my profession ain’t nowhere near a lawyer, spent two years of a criminal justice degree to become a housewife, whose now divorced
Hell some of the things I’ve done a lawyer would’ve had to save me
Well like they say when it rains it pours!”
