How deep this economy sinking

Why does it seem
The American Dream
Is more about social media
than owning a home?

I hear folks give lip service to the "intrinsic value" of human kindness, generosity, and compassion
Yet my reality is composed of pure "cream"

Everything
Around
Me

I'd love to see "America's team"  wear and endorse jerseys and cleats made only in America

Would love to see a big name athlete negotiate for his sponsors to make his gear in a plant in his hometown

If some are called race traitors
then big business is America traitors

Nike
Gerber
Browning
Carharrt
Dickies
Wal-Mart
Bass Pro
And others

They play on our pride (quick to claim American made)
and feed on our pockets (made in China and Mexico and Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador)
Claiming the same roots as the people they deceive
Yet do nothing but take
and then take away some more

If only the folks who so proudly wave their Chinese made American flags would turn their displeasure upon the folks who pay money to "border jumpers" and entice them over the wall
Instead of hating the penniless populace who will brave any danger to feed their children one more meal

Wonder why the folks who hire illegals don't face prison time
Cuz I know the "river swimmers" ain't coming here for the outpouring of love

Wish the people wit most of the money would stop pointing at two groups who need money And saying that there's only enuff for one of those group to get ahead

How long before we no longer live the Bob Marley classic "Ambush in the Night"?

If you wanna be a policeman or a D.A. or a judge ; how come "when you want to get some food, your brother got to be your enemy"?
