The last kiss
Words echoing across the sleeping ears,
An explanation of why I'm leaving you here,
You may not hear me but I know your dreams do,
A visual display of all the misery that's devouring my heart, my soul and mind
A pictorial array that is pushing me into the ground.
All the years lost to self pity finally taking their toll,
All adolescents lost to fear and regret,
All the sins churning and consuming their spiritual debt,
All the goodbyes and sad lies both spoken and believed,
All the innocence spent and lost with grievous intent and the emptiness gained so grievously and thoughtlessly .
A shadow of a kiss I leave you on your lips while you sleep,
As what remains of my soul slips out the window and
Flies across the sky until it finally ignites and burns,
Steady every night as one of the countless stars in the Heaven's Seas
You'll probably never recognize me in the sky but I swear every night the reach of my light will twinkle in your eyes and when the shimmer comes to an end with a blink,
My final words will remain, my love for you was never a lie,
Forever I love, forever I hate me
