ETHEREAL LOVE
Where is my lover?
where is she from?
what is she really like
at home and away?
if asked about her
what would her true friends say?
What does she think
in her rare quiet times?
how does she act
when mad, happy or sad?
what is the tone, rhythm and pitch
of her voice when she speaks
when she laughs
or in passion’s heat?
What is her scent?
how does she taste?
are her lips as succulent
her curves as voluptuous
and her milky skin as smooth
as her picture portrays?
Could I ever be the lover
she describes in her poetry?
would my kisses excite her?
would her breasts
respond to my touch
my nibbles my suck?
would her temperature rise?
would she become wet
with my licks, my kisses?
would my round peg
fill up her round holes?
All of these questions
my imagination has answered
but we live in a real world
with real time, real distance
and real problems to solve
in the present I am a real friend
a real confidant
a real source of humor
the laughing together kind
Though our lips may never press
or our bodies never join
our minds embrace
our thoughts permeate each other’s soul
what can be more sensual than that?

Well, why ever, whenever, and under whichever pseudonym this was first posted, the intended recipient is/was most fortunate to have found such a person, and then showed by a beautiful tribute to them.

Thank you Teri! I went through 2 other profiles. I'd get to feeling guilty and I'd pull everything down, even to the point of closing email accounts, vowing to not return. Within days I'd be back on with a new profile. Yes, she was a special lady, muse...we have become good friends.

Extremely clever the way you pose questions in the first four stanzas. Then comes the wisdom, which is considerable. There's nothing quite like a romantic, or sensual, meeting of the minds. All else is secondary. I'm sure you're a "real friend" and the ideal mate for the right lady. Fine work Gahdess!

my least favorite stanza is the fourth stanza. I like the questions and atmosphere of mystery.
