dusk settles
beyond denial
ahead of bare truths
meeting immediate depths
of desires
whilst sheltering homeless lies
analyse too close
it will shatter
simply submerge in the illusions
unable to take it to next level
nothing left to prove
when life offers no common ground
bleached dry
heart beats
to the rhythm of reality
next to never
carefully plant the seed of forever
just to grow a moment of life’s truth
when the fire of life all but burns out
remembering
everything’s made to be broken
dawn awakes
to memories
meeting the truths of tomorrow

Everything's made to be broken - it seems to ring true for me. Really deep piece Sophie. I tend to over analyze and then get myself in trouble. I think if we live in the moment and make lasting memories with the ones we truly care about things will fall in place. Ive read it a few times and take a little bit more out each time. Great soul reaching poem <3

Sophie, this is a beautiful stream of honest thought. One theme that touches me is, as others have written, the idea that happiness is a fleeting, moment by moment experience that can be tailor made for our specific needs. Oh that my life's focus would be that microscopic. Bravisima!
