"Home"

Lethal rays, vacuum of space, much more space.
Confined, quiet, desolate area.
Keeping this pace, soon I’ll be at my place.
Maintain composure, this is not a race;
this enclosure can’t have hysteria.

Once again I didn’t think this one through.
Most unique encounters always so near
while traveling solo, without a crew,
much company and support helps get through;
not much I can do now, for I am here.

The most interesting conversations,
though not in short supply of notes to self.
How many days spent on contemplation?
So busy, forgot my situation,
nothing more to worry, I’m in great health.

Forgot where I was going; locked away
doesn’t matter, found a new acquaintance.
Strange that I ever felt a need to stray;
Calm and faded away all my dismay.
My friend’s solace has given me credence.

I took Inspiration from Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken" to create my structure. An Interesting ride this one took me on.
