Rosette On the Balcony
She leans on the wrought iron rail
A balcony above Bourbon Street
Fat Tuesday bringing celebrants
Tourists, frat boys, harlequins
Crescent City cutting loose
When the saints come dancing in
She awaits her love Lestat
Blonde, beautiful and immortal
He alone can set her right
Transform her with one loving bite
Lestat brings her everlasting life
He sips from her, his latest wife
Her ambrosia flavor strengthens him
And she will obey his every whim.

A beautifully written follow on to a story that I had forgotten. I actually never read the book or saw the movie. Damn Barnabas Collins ruined me at an early age when it comes to vampires. Bravo Sir Crow!

I watched my share of TV's "Dark Shadows" too. I recommend the film version with Johnny Depp and satiric elements by director Tim Burton. Thanks for the kind comment, Gahdess!

Lestat is a character of many facets, and would probably be a fit subject for more lines. Might have to do an interview though. Thanks Grace!
