Silver Tongue

My eyes
Translucent curtains
That can no longer
Conceal lightening

My heart beats haste
As Thunder
Circulating
Shifts in weather

I count baited breaths
Like ushering winds

I bite my tongue
Down to the silver

Swallow the realization
That a storm is coming

For the clouds
Kept within my mouth
Will soon rain

From it
I shall surely drown
Or
Awaken

I spent a quarter of my life biting my tongue. This poem is meant to tell of the coming storm of my silver tongue. My voice will be heard!
