He Lost It
The shaking. Does it ever stop?
Enough is enough! He shouts!
His head hurts so fucking bad he'll drop.
He feels himself receding into a puddle of self doubt.
Please just leave! She begs.
She can't see him suffer anymore.
In the process of trying to save herself
She has to show him the door.
Violence is never the answer,
but life has never been simple.
Maybe the complexity in which they live
Barely causes a ripple.
He's scaring me. She thinks
But he'd never hurt her. This is a fact.
She couldn't put it together though.
Why she was terrified to turn her back.
Love is a catatonic chemical to the brain.
It brings great joy, but also great pain.
Troubling it seems a mother would lose a daughter.
Even worse yet two children lost a father.
A breathtaking ending to a romance full of passion.
But insanity kills like a deadly assassin.
The cold that overtook him will haunt his years.
Wishing he could have denied her deepest fears.
