Into Eternity
I ease in
disturbing the stillness
of the water.
Feeling the heat
encircle my body,
I bask in its warmth.
My thoughts beat
their wings as
they flutter away.
I run my hands
down my legs
watching the water
cascade downward.
The surface ripples again
as my body tenses up,
Then relief,
immersing itself deeper.
The sweetened lilac
fragrance intoxicating me
as I close my eyes,
sinking into eternity.
