Decided Double-Sided
As I go to start, I pause,
And ponder of the end.
My reaching hand most suddenly,
Retracts from its extend.
The table tennis in my head,
Finds a merit, then a flaw.
While others wait impatiently,
Within the corridor.
One step forward, then one back,
Not proper to behave,
Of making choices where;
Our will becomes our slave.
But playing out a life ahead,
Who knows just what to do?
Hard decisions made by us,
Draw roads ahead to places new.
And ponder of the end.
My reaching hand most suddenly,
Retracts from its extend.
The table tennis in my head,
Finds a merit, then a flaw.
While others wait impatiently,
Within the corridor.
One step forward, then one back,
Not proper to behave,
Of making choices where;
Our will becomes our slave.
But playing out a life ahead,
Who knows just what to do?
Hard decisions made by us,
Draw roads ahead to places new.
