Speechless
The air fell from her lungs.
She never breathed in
since she'll never breath in again
and you, my foolish friend
believe your own pity
is worse than mine.
The air fell from her lungs.
She'll never breath in again.
The sorry ren that watches through her window
will see an empty bed and a poor, elderly man
weeping
in the corner beside it.
It even smelt like death and morphine
but she was loved.
I hope you never regret a single day you spent
with us
for I know,
my truth be told,
I begged for another day
knowing it might hurt you.
I just loved to see you smile.
Jaw locked,
eyes closed,
ever cold.
Speechless.
