My Riddled Stasis

Desperate to escape this skin.
My haggard coat and bloated vest.
Crawling outside. Crawling in.
Want hard the credits of this reel.
Dull pain, with a side of thought.
Slime tapers from these thirsty gums.
Trapped in a chamber of pity.
Carving unrelenting notches.
Begging for the night to pause
And cradle me to a better place.
Be it Dust or Damp.
Dawn seeps through the cracks of my hope.
To lose another bout to wake.
