Holiday memoirs

Jamaican odesey,
Carribean caper,
Bathing in the sea ,

In the land of roots of culture,
Deep blue sea conjures up memoirs of Marley and Garvey,

Patois infused sentiments  sung sweetly to
 Me 'Ini spirits lives inside me '

My heritage it cradles the spirit ,
While I make circles in the white sand,

Sun worshipping,
The heat is holistic and healing,
Soul soothes to the rhythm of island magic,
On my sunbed I am content,

With the world passing me by so heavenly,
Goodbye to the rat race for a few weeks,
Travelling to a land of rum  and reggae,
Yet so much more,
Capturing my essence as strangers walk past by me,

Lording it with leisure, with a 'chillpill ' swagger , forever the memory will be etched,

On my heart, so sad to depart,

But can't wait to tell my loved ones memoirs
