Not Like Every Other Woman
We know every woman is made to be beautiful on
The outside, but I am really afraid that they are not
Appreciated enough for what is on the inside. Every
Woman has lots of curves, but not everyone is drawn
To drive down them unless they are seeking that pot
Of pleasure at the end of the road. She has a reverie
Of thoughts that got her to where she is today, but
Nobody admires her strength or ability to get there.
She is not just a pretty face with those beautiful eyes
And sparkling smiles because she is a warrior who
Has endured all of the pain. Other people will swear
To always protect her, but she fights wars and cries
Tears over people who would not do the same. You
Can promise her the moon and the stars, but to her
That is never enough. You have to be willing to keep
Her happiness and sometimes above your own. She
Walks away when things are not as they once were.
It should not be too much for people to dive in deep
To get to her essence. She knows her worth more
And more every day. She is not afraid to be alone
Until other people will come around to appreciate it.
She is not dirt, but a rare diamond with every sore
And scratch there. She could be sitting on her throne
And could never feel like she should be trying to fit
In just to be like every other woman. She never took
Anything for granted and is like an intriguing book.
