at the alter

I’m standing at the Alter,
Nervous as can be.
Making sure my bows just right, my suits not to tight,
I check my boots, to make sure everything’s alright.

As I look up, I can see my beautiful bride smiling and happy as can be.
You can tell she is just as nervous as me,

Her gown shines bright like snow in the crystal moon light.
Her bouquet of rose blossoms are as vibrant as the sun.
Her smile is as beautiful as a newborn child, as her father walks her down the aisle.

looking all around, i can see everyone is happy as can be,
Taking pictures to be remembered, what a beautiful memory.

As she stands next to me, i became nervouse as can be.
grabbing her hands and holding tight, tears of happiness gleamed from her sandy brown eyes.

We stood in happiness, as the preacher preached
She read her vows and I read mine.
I told her how beautiful she looked,
how her heart is made of gold
How much it meant to me she was here next to me
How much love I’ll give, how much respect ill show
How I love her with all my heart; and i will never let her go,
because when i am with her i am happy.

as i placed the ring upon her finger, I whispered into her ear, you are my everything.
looking at her ring, tears flowed from her eyes,
For there lied a diamond, with sapphire around it.
and engraved within the ring, read my everything
as she stood in suprise.
She couldn’t help but cry.

When the preacher said, you may know kiss the bride,
She hugged me tight, and kissed me like she never kissed before,
Whispering into my ear,
She said, I will always be yours; I will always be your everything.
