peeking
Oh, the lovely things you've done to me!
Made my head a happy home -
Things I never meant to write
come leaping down
like jazz piano notes
twisting together with the steam climbing out
my coffee cup.
Makes me swoon to know
you started drinking it black
thanks to me.
sure it's trite,
but I'm sunshine,
I'm gold and ancient and there
for your waking cheek,
and I'll make your cornflower irises
bloom
because I see them wanting
to
and I want it
too...
See me peeking through the blinds like that? -
I'm not being needy.
You can keep sleeping -
I just can't help shining, I
love you so damn much.
