Darkness
It starts to creep over you, slowly growing like a shadow.
It starts to rapidly spread like there's poison ivy in your soul.
It circles you as you live a life that's not even worth living anymore.
There's no escape from the monster that consumes your life, no release from the demon that takes over everything.

I know this darkness that you describe. Learning to accept the darkness as part of you, and learning how to wield it to your will is a lesson I still struggle with. Resoundingly, I resonate with your words.
