Sitting down with this beat on my mind
rhythm is so cold that it freezes the time
I don't kno what made me write
just doing it in spite
of my raw emotions that are held inside
from all the rage burning red like the horizon over the tide
growing deeper by the days
trynna figure out new ways
to push forward to success
being in college is putting my mental to the test
I'm blessed
but still stressed
by daily life routines and dreams
that come to my mind while I sleep
hold let me turn up this beat
life seems blurry like the picture on the television
got to clear it up with ease and precision
In America, we claim to have the best living
while other countries look at us like we are sinning
Buliding new things on top of lies
just look at how time flies
we will never crack down on the drug cartel
too many users in the US for them to fail
this flow is running through my veins
down to my heart where the only thing that dwell is pain
trynna live life stress free
to strive to be the best I can be
to have a solid relationship built on "real" honesty and trust
love me while I'm alive and even when my body turns back into dust
Where am I going with this poem?
should I continue with it

talk about shyt I dont have
or stuff that makes me laugh
I still dont know
but imma keep freestylin with the pen
emotions flowing on the page from within
my soul kept in a restless state
cant enjoy my life bc someone else is eating off my plate
so should i sit and contemplate
to keep writing or take a break
keep it real or be fake
so just lay and wait
give or take
just one min or two
for me to regain consciousness and continue what i do
