My Last Parade
My Last Parade
Take me to my last parade
So I can wear my masquerade
So everyone can see who I am not
That my heart is full of naught
Clowns will laugh at me as they pass
Inviting me to join their cast
My tears of pain I will cover with paint
I will use it as my feint
No one will ever see inside
The person I was has died
All from the lack of love from you
I will live and die in solitude
Just another performer in the parade
Playing a happy lover's charade
Take me to my last parade
So I can wear my masquerade
So everyone can see who I am not
That my heart is full of naught
Clowns will laugh at me as they pass
Inviting me to join their cast
My tears of pain I will cover with paint
I will use it as my feint
No one will ever see inside
The person I was has died
All from the lack of love from you
I will live and die in solitude
Just another performer in the parade
Playing a happy lover's charade
