Head Unto The Unknown.

The scent of black coffee that engulfs
you at the moment of serene.

Reflection of the city's light on the window you stare,
                  it wanders your thought.

A night on the rooftop with nothing that
                  matters for now, you sigh.

Then lie on your back and trace the brightest star
                 with your hand.

A cigarette you light and a smoke to play
                with your dry mouth.

After you plug your ears and eyes, you separate yourself
                from this unbecoming world.

Get drunk of thoughts then hope of things
                 that should've happened

Get lost on the music you've been listening
                 that seemed like a second.

Then you start to dream.
               Quiet.
               Peace at last...
               Startled.

You open your eyes as you felt a droplet
               on your right cheek.

Stare back at the sky and realize the
drizzle of rain pouring, it's cold.

But you don't get up just yet.
You want to feel something, but feel what?

You think for a second.
                Maybe the cold air?
                Wetness from rain?
A poop from a flying bird?

You dont know. You start to get frustrated.
                   Stood pacing back and forth,
you feel like shouting and get over it.

Carry now the heavy breathing you start to do.
                   You pant harder every second.

                   Breathe.

                   Breathe.

                   Stop.

                   Calm yourself. It's just rain.

Bite the inside of your cheeks.
                   Bittersweet smile found your face.

You ponder as you find yourself at this situation again.
                  Tired.

You leave the rooftop as you ready yourself for tomorrow.
But you already know what it brings.
