RAVEN OF YOUR SORROW

The hour’s upon us, burn me in effigy
I have stood at the cusp dreading eternity
Oh, those cleansing fires within the paradigm
Made of all the liars crowned for you paradise

I’d walk away
But the night remains
For me
I burn you another mourning light

Can’t find a way
When the scars invade
Your words
Burn me in other mourning lights

You cannot feel pain until you’ve known suffering
The agony I’ve tasted to be the raven in your sorrow
Collapse of love, tarnished rings and iron chains
The destiny to become
BECOME
The raven in their sorrow

Believing in the rust, anthems of frailty
When everything you trust is just like grinding teeth
Echo demon choirs when you pantomime
Deep encrypted cyphers ne’relasting valentines

The worst today
Tattooed and engraved
My words
I burn you another mourning light

The paths I take
Are those we forsake
Tonight
Burn me in other mourning lights

You cannot feel pain until you’ve known suffering
The agony I’ve tasted to be the raven in your sorrow
Collapse of love, tarnished rings and iron chains
The destiny to become
BECOME
The raven in their sorrow

When darkness falls
I cannot sleep
Haunted by the sound
Of demon speak
Your misery
Became my vice
Another time, another place
My demise
Mourn me
In leathers and lace

You cannot feel pain until you’ve known suffering
The agony I’ve tasted to be the raven in your sorrow
Collapse of love, tarnished rings and iron chains
The destiny to become
BECOME
The raven in their sorrow
