Letter to my Unborn Son

I have been carrying you for the last 9 months and I couldn't be more in love
True you weren't planned, but nonetheless an amazing and welcomed blessing from above
Now, mommy's not perfect but I will always give you and your sister my all
I promise to always do my best as a parent and pick you up if you should ever fall
I'll dust you off and give you the courage to push through
After all that's what mothers do

I promise to help you choose the right path when you can't seem to find your way
I can't lie its gonna get tough with the world we live in today
Thats not to scare you...Mommy will always tell you the truth
No matter what you ask if I have the answer I'll always share it with you
We may not be perfect, but your dad and I will strive to be everything you'll need
Hoping to prepare you and your sister for the adult lives you'll lead

I'll be there when you start dating swearing you're so smooth
I'll be there when you and your sister tell me "Mom no one says that anymore!" and dare to call me old school
I'll be there to wipe your tears when that first girl breaks your heart
It'll hurt baby, but don't let it break you or rip your world apart
I'll be at school activities and games to cheer you on...always yelling from the stands
Showing my love by screaming at the top of my lungs...mommy will always be your number 1 fan

Always in your corner advising you to let me help if I can
With your Dad always telling me to give you space to become your own man
I will try not to smother your lives
Just know that no matter what you and your sister can always come to your parents whenever problems arise
I want you both to know that mommy loves you
And there's nothing I can say that will ever be more true

Love you baby...
