UNDER THE SKIN
My nightmares are caught in between
Frankenstein cortex dream machines
Competing with born again endeavors
Wreath of thorns placed around my heart
Are slowly tearing me apart
Can you taste the wine when veins are severed?
It seems that these agonies
Of travesties wrought a chrysalis
To sustain your abyss
I know I’m lost in your paradigm
And kill me with one kiss at a time
Hammer the last nail in the coffin
Let rest the remains that lie within
Plunder the thunder
Under the skin
My phantasies are dead betwixt
Faustian contract wicks eclipsed
Signed in the blood of sinners crucified
I’ve taken my place on the hill
Where all the blood is being spilled
Why would you want me as a sacrifice?
It seems that these agonies
Of travesties wrought a chrysalis
To sustain your abyss

Lord Hades, just recently I wrote of razor wings frantically seeking escape once rebirthed...this ink is masterfully wrought and grips me tightly...I feel the pain of keeping something buried and cocooned despite needing it released...the heart has a way of operating without logic sometimes...I am holding onto this one, if you don’t mind...
