DRAGON IN YOUR BLOOD
Here in the city of the damned
Exist like a scar upon the earth
Chasing spirits in decanters
Sacrilegious in our rebirth
You feel the pull of the ether
The siren call of the reaper
Harvesting desires denied
By God above in Heaven’s eyes
Rise!
Above the sewer of faith
With the dragon in your blood
I!
Will always be in your heart
As the dragon in your blood
They try to rip away freewill
With all of their threats of damnation
The sins of the flesh are taboo
Tattoo commandments for salvation
Holy martyr died for nothing
He could have suffered for something
More than he could ever have known
But spread his poison through the bone
Rise!
Above the sewer of faith
With the dragon in your blood
I!
Will always be in your heart
As the dragon in your blood
Thine!
Self is purer than their filth
With the dragon in your blood
I!
Can always be found right here
As the dragon in your blood
We drift as unholy creatures
The garbage of special features
Like a Broadway Faust
Sanctified with our loss
Crawl upon the silent moon
As true contenders of creation
And God will fear to strike you down
For he’s a slave to temptation
Sever thy faith with filament
Arteries black with defilement
Reborn as the abominable
As venom we are indomitable
Rise!
