PRIMAL FOLIAGE OF WORDS  (12-23-17, Cathedral City ‘Cove’, California)

the primal
foliage
of subconscious
feelings
slowly arises
up through
my dreams
arriving
beyond them
in silence
here now
to surface
and either
resonantly flourish
or wither
from some
internalized drought
of deficiently seeded
weak inspiration
channeled
and filtered
through me alone
obliquely
sprouted forth
from subliminal
inner realms
mysteriously into
newborn forms
of unexpected
insightful vision
whether only
vaguely symbolic
or more coherently
literal
and directly
specific
still nonetheless
sometimes
up from this
inwardly arisen
outwardly reflective
sudden profusion
of semi conscious
expressions
slippery
ritualistic release
from waking dreamstate
into open awareness
wherein new
insights
from oblique
perspectives
of unexpected
direction
and guidance
solutions of clarity
of relative meaning
may come
along with this
other
mysterious
strange language
of often
inspiring
reflectively moving
freely gleaned
whether relatable
or not
muse spun
creatively
manifested
word leaf foliaged
new born
poems
which once become
are much
like rocks
in their random
infinite nature
for whether
they are ever
seen  read
heard and felt
or not
they too
like rocks
within
the greater
scheme of things
are nonetheless
still here
patiently awaiting
in their
muted being
the open possibility
of anything
of everything
or nothing
at all
