Going Nowhere
The roach raced across the floor
Compelling me to kill it
The silverfish jammed upon my wall
Compelling me to kill it
Yet, I still see myself as a pacifist
The rat sat upon the mat
In my imagination
Compelling me to kill it
I once had a brother
Who would take it all
So I let blood go
Rather than spill it
In a perfect world
There is peace and love
But nothing and nobody
Is left
To fill it
Compelling me to kill it
The silverfish jammed upon my wall
Compelling me to kill it
Yet, I still see myself as a pacifist
The rat sat upon the mat
In my imagination
Compelling me to kill it
I once had a brother
Who would take it all
So I let blood go
Rather than spill it
In a perfect world
There is peace and love
But nothing and nobody
Is left
To fill it
