Beautiful Dawn
Beautiful Dawn
Beautiful Dawn;
your beauty has gone long enough underrated…
tell them all of how you’ve become a picture of our very own notions and how the sunrise will be what we want it to be -
for when your silence is heard in the murmur of every waking thing,
they know you’ve come once again.
As the sun flickers upon your eyes;
scintillating as the seas,
remember He who created it all;
for as they say”
spring shows what God can do with a drab and dirty world”…
They say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder,
dare I ask, where does Dawn’s beauty lie?
In the chemistry of a thousand swooning moons with eyes bright and full of wonder;
where it feels as if it were the sun and the moon…
when they kiss.
Her beauty engulfs me,
with every imperfection,
stumble,
and stutter my heart hammers hard inside my chest trying to escape hoping to be captured by her warm,
calloused fingers,
oh beautiful Dawn what have you done to thee?
You have captured all that I am,
shall we leave this mortal world hand in hand to where you came from?
As the morning sun reaches my window –
I will embrace you.
Would it be wrong of me to assume you were brought upon this world for me?
Surely you feel the connection when I stare deep into your eyes as the moon slowly creeps away into early slumber.
Beautiful Dawn,
You and I have lived through many things,
when my nights were long,
I looked to you and held on to your heart.
Be mine always?
