DEPRESSION

Very powerful work, Grace.  Depression is a condition that's hard to elucidate but you do it so well.   A "future seen through mirrors of despair."  Amazing!

Hi Crowfly, thank you so much for reading and leaving kind comments. Yes depression is tough...especially when one has no support from around one.

I suffer from depression too and it is something that only those who know, know about! I have some support but my husband has only ever suffered situational depression and that is not the same as chronic or clinical depression (as we both know). He doesn't truly understand! I don't know which is worse; no support or snide occasional support? But I guess that is why we have places like this so we can find like minded people to share with and support each other.

You are right Nancy. No one understands but those who live it. And here in DU there are those who may identify...writing it out helps a lot. Thank you so much for reading.:)

this is expressed so well , the pain of being trapped in a place you never asked to be ! ive felt depressed many times in my life and too hurt inside, and its not nice nor is it fair .. a well written piece of writing which im sure many can relate too x

Thank you so much daffodil, for reading and commenting. I am sorry you relate to it...but I hope you are well out of it now. Its like a periodic prison for me.

the pain will usually come back, life gets me down .. having been very traumatised in this life, its hard to feel ok , sometimes .
