AMOUREUSE (BASED ON SONG BY KIKI DEE)
These are the thoughts this "morning after"
Has left me, higher than a rafter.
I went to bed with the man I love,
And wake as if in Heaven above.
It was the first time, he made it fun;
Oh, that he would ever be my One,
Maintaining that lifelong connection
Expressed in desire, with affection
At every moment that feels right,
Be it in the day or in the night.
Experience that was so divine
He granted me, at his place not mine;
Heart and body sensuously warmed
In afterglow of what was performed.
Through the window dawn's sun is breaking,
As if smiling on our lovemaking
And the sight of us, a naked pair,
Embraced in the bed I came to share.
In that sunlight and love's warmth I bathe,
Close to he for whom myself did save.
Has left me, higher than a rafter.
I went to bed with the man I love,
And wake as if in Heaven above.
It was the first time, he made it fun;
Oh, that he would ever be my One,
Maintaining that lifelong connection
Expressed in desire, with affection
At every moment that feels right,
Be it in the day or in the night.
Experience that was so divine
He granted me, at his place not mine;
Heart and body sensuously warmed
In afterglow of what was performed.
Through the window dawn's sun is breaking,
As if smiling on our lovemaking
And the sight of us, a naked pair,
Embraced in the bed I came to share.
In that sunlight and love's warmth I bathe,
Close to he for whom myself did save.
