This feels very late autumn, the cold being such a final challenge for trees to bear, the image of contortion is a good example of that, I think, I like how you did the progression of autumn in stages, it's a cool concept..

like others said, the imagery is really enjoyable. it's always really nice when things are given personality in writing; makes it far more lively. if anything, you could even go without the picture, since the writing is so descriptive. it's a pretty picture, though. thanks for the pleasant read.
