Hello Death
Hello death, we finally meet.
Please pardon me,
But would you like to take a seat?
I don’t want you to let me go free,
Nay I just want to ask you a simple favor…
Please before I go;
Five minutes with my family, let me savor.
Before you take my soul.
My family means the world to me.
They’ve been there through thick and thin.
For they were the ones that helped me through, you see!
My wonderful kin!
Hello death, so you rang,
Please let me visit my mom and dad.
I know Heaven has sang,
But to see them one last time I’d be glad.
I love them dearly,
And it would hurt me so;
If I didn’t give them one more memory.
Before I go.
It will only take a minute to say, ‘good-bye,’
And ‘I love you!’
Before I die,
Let me know they’ll get through.
Thank you, death for letting me,
See my family.
One last time I got to look upon,
Their faces of love.
Before I go to be with God above.
