Nebulous neurons shiver
lucent little snakes
shake
synapses weary of transporting life
aching of staying awake
Flares fire
aggressive & finite
from firefly transmitters
only moaning to die
So stranded - effaced & snapping
aimless little astrocytes
wailing for sunrise
or just one...
euthanized night

Wow- another gem. I spent 25yrs working in the "mental health" racket, so this piece has a nice ring to it.
