Into the Darkness

As I make my way through the night  
 Taking stride in each step  
Trying not to fall or lose my balance
I cannot stumble
I know it's coming, it won't be long  
Hurrying    
Hurrying    
Trying to run, it's taking everything I can  
Know I must keep going  
I must get the hell out, before the darkness takes over  
Blinding my eyes, giving no hope
Then we will become as one
Together in the dark  
No one shall see
I know your close, feel as if your moving in  
The night almost dark, soon totally black  
The darkness awaits  
Only a few more minutes now, it won't be long  
Getting harder to see  
Almost there now, running fast as I can  
Please God
Don't let me fall into the darkness  
Let me awake  
To see the light of another day  
Please God I pray
