The two toned cocktail

Under the neon haze, in a cocktail bar
I saw you mixin' shaved ice into a highball glass
I'm not sure if it was a quick, trick of light
But I'm sure I've seen you once or twice

Under the neon haze, in a cocktail bar
I saw you placin' a bet with your mint julep
I'm not sure if it was a quick, trick of light
But I'm sure I recognised a missin' person in your eyes

I soon began to see
The amount you could drink
It was enough to sink a fuckin' battle ship, my dear
You had them sherbet lips, with ballerina hips
Tryin' to rearrange an argumentive orange peel

Under the neon haze, in a cocktail bar
I saw you talkin' sleazy with a London dry martini
I'm not sure if it was quick, trick of light
But I'm sure I saw a long lost lover in your eyes

If you could only see the problem of your ways
It doesn't have to be like this
If only i could offer you a hug or a kiss
Under the neon haze, in a cocktail bar
